On November 25th, a new entry-level smartphone from Samsung was exposed. It has recently passed the certification of the CPQD R&D Center in Latin America. Most notably, this new phone is equipped with a 5000mAh super-capacity battery.
Earlier news about Samsung A02 came out, it may be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, using 14nm process technology, compared with the previous 28nm efficiency greatly improved, power consumption is reduced. The Snapdragon 450 processor still uses the Cortex A53 core, but uses a 14nm process technology. In addition, Qualcomm has also increased the core frequency from 1.4GHz for Snapdragon 435 to 1.8GHz for Snapdragon 450. It is supplemented by 2G storage and 32G/64G storage space, and supports 15W or 10W fast charging.
The screen size has reached 6.5 inches. The camera uses a 13MP rear dual-camera solution; the Galaxy A02S still uses an older MicroUSB port and lacks a fingerprint sensor. Considering the hardware configuration and the price of A01, the Galaxy A02 will be priced below US$200.
However, considering the fierce competition in the domestic market, the Galaxy A02 does not seem to have the upper hand even in the one hundred yuan machine, so the Galaxy A02 may not be available in the mainland.
