The World Mobile Conference (WMC21) officially opened in Shanghai on February 23. OPPO’s theme for this exhibition was “Integrating Wisdom for Goodness”. During the exhibition, a flash charging ecological communication meeting was held to further open the flash charging technology authorization.
It is worth noting that in addition to well-known brands in the field of mobile phone chargers such as Anker, the manufacturers participating in this flash charging communication conference also include the old vehicle manufacturer FAW-Volkswagen and the semiconductor giant NXP. It can be seen that OPPO wants to create a new experience for users that “everything can be flashed”.
In recent years, OPPO has continuously upgraded its mobile phone fast charging experience to a VOOC flash charging ecosystem with brand characteristics. Among them, the latest SuperVOOC super flash charge not only has a fast charging speed, but also can effectively control the temperature of the phone body and avoid damage to internal components.
Take the 125W super flash charge released by OPPO last year as an example. It can charge a mobile phone with a 4000mAh equivalent battery capacity to 41% in 5 minutes and fully charge it in 20 minutes. During this period, the temperature of the phone’s body was not higher than 40°C throughout, which can be said to be fast, stable and not hot.
In addition to wired flash charging, OPPO is also making continuous efforts in the field of wireless flash charging. The 65W AirVOOC wireless flash charging released at the same time can charge a mobile phone with a 4000mAh equivalent battery capacity in 30 minutes, further accelerating the process of wireless charging from supplementing wired charging to occupying the C position.
While continuing to improve the technical level and user experience of VOOC flash charging, OPPO also started in-depth cooperation with Thiel Labs earlier. VOOC flash charging technology has become the first fast charging technology to obtain a five-star certificate from Thiel Labs. OPPO also participated in the joint drafting of a large number of standard documents, and developed fast charging technology evaluation standards in terms of charging speed, system safety, temperature, and efficiency. .
In order to expand the ecosystem of flash charging technology, OPPO announced in 2018 that it will open the external authorization of flash charging technology. Subsequently, the well-known charger brand ANKER (Anker Innovation) launched a 24W car charger that supports VOOC flash charging, and a 20W two-in-one flash charging head, which can meet the user’s flash charging needs no matter at home or outside.
During this Mobile World Congress, ANKER will continue to launch products that support flash charging technology, and will focus on the two dimensions of multi-port and higher power. While meeting the demand for faster charging speeds, it is also more friendly to multi-device users.
In addition, automobile brand FAW-Volkswagen and automobile semiconductor company NXP (NXP Semiconductors) will also release products that support flash charging technology this time.
This is the first time that OPPO’s flash charging technology patent has entered the field of automobiles and travel, from which we can see the full openness of flash charging technology. At the same time, it is also foreseeable that related products will be involved in more fields, and OPPO product users will have a more convenient and efficient flash charging experience in the future.
