DxOMark Preview: Sony Xperia 5 Camera Ratings Tomorrow!

Tonight, DXOMARK officially announced that the Sony Xperia 5 camera score will be presented tomorrow. Last November, DxOMARK officially announced the front camera score of the Sony Xperia 5 mobile phone, with a total score of 79 points; this is one point higher than the Sony Xperia 1 mobile phone.

The Sony Xperia 5 was first released at IFA 2019. It uses a 6.1-inch 21: 9 “with fish” screen, is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB of memory, 128GB of storage space, and the screen, the Sony Xperia 5 uses 21 : 9.6.1-inch Full HD + (2,520 x 1,080 pixels) HDR OLED display combined with Dolby Atmos, bringing a unique immersive entertainment experience.

Like Xperia 1, Xperia 5 also has a 10-bit color depth display, which can achieve more vivid and natural color display and deeper black. This display, together with Sony's developed image processor, supports a wide color gamut space ITU-R BT.2020 and DCI-P3 with Illuminant D65.

It is understood that the Sony Xperia 5 mobile phone is available in four colors: crystal blue, wine red, diamond black and frost gray. The front and rear panels use Corning Gorilla Glass 6 generations, and are IP65 / IP68 waterproof and dustproof. The size of the phone is 158 x 68.3 x 8.2 mm, weight about 164g, battery capacity is 3140mAh.

It is worth mentioning that the previous Sony Xperia 1 camera evaluation scored 91 points on the DxOMark list, in fact this score is not high. In an exclusive interview with Sony Xperia 5 ’s Chinese Mainland License conference last year, Sony executives answered this question to IT House.

Sony said that it is not clear which sub-items they are scoring based on, and the scores are not high. Sony said that our improvement in AF performance has been well received by the media and the market, but unfortunately these have not been included in their scoring projects, especially 10 frames / second high-speed continuous shooting that supports AF / AE tracking, the Movie Master APP, And Sony ’s unique shooting functions such as eye focus, if we include this scoring project, we believe that there will be good performance, in this sense, the score seems to be incomplete and objective.

The Sony Xperia 5 uses a 12-megapixel main camera + 12-megapixel super wide-angle + 12-megapixel telephoto camera. It is not too eye-catching in terms of parameters, but fortunately, the Xperia 5 triple-lens camera system incorporates Sony Micro Single eye focus technology for high-speed continuous shooting at up to 10 frames per second (AF / AE tracking), also supports AF / AE detection up to 30 fps, and built-in technology provided by Sony movie camera CineAlta "Movie Master" APP, you can set professional shooting parameters and color style to record movies.

As for how much the DXO score will be, it is not clear, and IT House will continue to pay attention.
