If Apple is testing the water on some iPhone 12 models for cost, then this year's iPhone 13 will be fully popularized.
According to the latest news from the industry chain, Apple plans to add lidar scanner functions to all iPhone 13 models released in 2021. Apple first applied a lidar scanner on the iPad Pro launched in March 2020.
You know, the lidar scanner function only appeared on the iPhone 12 Pro series, and next year Apple will be fully popularized on the iPhone 13.
The news also mentioned that Apple will release the iPhone 13 series in September this year. Same as the iPhone 12, there may be four models, namely the 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini, the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 and the iPhone 13 Pro, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max.
To put it simply, a lidar scanner can measure the time it takes for the laser to reflect after touching an object, so that it can draw a depth map of the space in which it is located.
