Korean media: Samsung will refuse Huawei to purchase Exynos processor competition

Due to well-known reasons, Huawei ’s supply of mobile phone processor chips faces uncertainty. It has been reported that Huawei is actively contacting companies such as MediaTek, Zhanrui and even Samsung, hoping to purchase mobile phone processors, but purchasing Samsung ’s Exynos processors. It may not be smooth.

South Korean media published an article saying that Huawei is trying to purchase Samsung's Exynos processor, and is expected to formally submit supply requirements in the second half of the year.

However, the industry believes that Huawei ’s purchase of Samsung ’s processors will not be smooth, and Samsung may refuse to supply Exynos chips to Huawei. The reason is also very simple-although the supply of mobile phone processors can increase the performance of the semiconductor business, Samsung is more than the overall Happy to see Huawei's mobile phone and network equipment business decline, after all, Samsung and Huawei are competitors in these areas.

Korean media pointed out that Samsung will not be the first time to reject Huawei orders. In the past, Samsung has had such a precedent-rejecting Huawei's request to purchase Exynos processors.

At present, Huawei and Samsung have not yet responded to Korean media reports.
