On November 11, MediaTek launched the new Dimensity series 5G chips, the model is Dimensity 700, using 7nm process technology, the positioning is expected to be slightly lower than the previous Dimensity 720, the purpose is to bring advanced 5G functions and Experience. At the same time, it is also officially announced that a 6nm process 5G chip will be released soon. It is said that Antutu's running score will reach more than 600,000.
It is understood that the newly released Dimensity 700 chip is designed with an eight-core CPU architecture, integrating two large 2.2GHz Cortex-A76 cores, six small 2.0GHz Cortex-A55 cores, and the GPU is Mali-G57MC2 950MHz. It also supports advanced 5G technology, 5G dual carrier aggregation, 5G dual card dual standby, and 5G VoNR voice services.
In addition, Dimensity 700 also supports MediaTek 5G UltraSave power-saving technology, with intelligent detection of network environment, OTA content recognition, BWP dynamic bandwidth control and C-DRX energy-saving management and other functions to reduce 5G communication power consumption for longer battery life. It will also support 90Hz screen refresh rate, up to 6400W pixel camera and intelligent voice assistant functions.
MediaTek also announced that it will release a 6nm process 5G chip, model MT689X, using 3.0GHz Cortex-A78, the architecture is the same as Samsung’s upcoming Exynos 1080, according to reports that the Antutu running score can reach 60W the above. The positioning of this chip should be higher than the current Dimensity 1000+. The price of mobile phones equipped with this chip is expected to be above 2,000 yuan (USD $286) , and it is expected to be released before the end of this year.
