Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition released: 4K QLED 120Hz, starting at 5999 yuan (USD $857)

This afternoon, Xiaomi officially launched a new generation of digital TV series-Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition. It has a 4K QLED panel, dual 120Hz high brushes, and is officially positioned as “challenging the 10,000 yuan (USD $1429) picture quality ceiling.”

The Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition uses a 4K QLED panel with 224 hardware-level backlight partitions. And through the 100-level partition backlight system, it can achieve 4096-level precision light control, and the highest peak brightness of 1200nits.

After dimming one by one, the Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition not only achieves 97% DCI-P3 wide color gamut coverage, supports 10bit color depth output, but also has a color accuracy performance of △E≈1.5.

With the above hardware qualities and official adjustments, the Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition supports multiple wide-color gamut technologies such as Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HLG.

In terms of audio, the Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition uses 100W ultra-high-power audio (total power), with an acoustic display design and a 4.2.2 spatial surround sound field composed of 16 pronunciation units.

Through these, the Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition can not only provide a more three-dimensional surround sound experience, but also allow users to really see strong sound waves.

For game lovers, the Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition uses a 120Hz high refresh rate panel and supports 120Hz EMMC motion compensation.

Not only can natively support high frame rate content, but also can insert low frame rate content to 120 for playback. Whether it is a game or a sports event, a smoother visual enjoyment can be achieved.

Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition is also the official Xbox recommended game display device. Based on the HDMI 2.1 interface, it also provides ALLM automatic low-latency optimization. Through AMD FreeSync and VRR and other technologies, 4ms ultra-low latency can be achieved.

It is natural to talk about the interfaces here. The Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition provides three HDMI (including two HDMI 2.1), two USB (including one USB 3.0) and interfaces such as network, cable TV, and optical fiber, which have good scalability.

Inside the machine, the Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition is equipped with the MT9950 chip, has a quad-core A78, and a 4.5GB+64GB large storage combination. It brings a good hardware foundation for the AI processor, system and intelligent experience of the whole machine.

For example, the Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition supports AI-SR super resolution, which can optimize low-resolution images to achieve 4K high-definition output.

The top of the machine is also equipped with a 48-megapixel AI lifting dual camera, which can be used for video calls, AI gesture control, AI large-screen fitness, and more.

The above is the Xiaomi Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition released this time. The series is divided into 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch versions, priced at 5999 yuan (USD $857) , 7999 yuan (USD $1143) and 9999 yuan (USD $1428) , respectively.
