More than OPPO! Exposure that LG will also launch a scroll screen phone is expected to be released in the first half of the year

In November last year, OPPO officially released the world's first scrolling screen phone-OPPO X 2021 at the Future Technology Conference.

This is a special "folding screen" mobile phone, OPPO uses a stretch method similar to a scroll, which greatly avoids the crease effect of the screen.

Now, there is news that South Korean manufacturer LG will also launch a mobile phone with a similar design, and someone who broke the news has announced the design of this phone.

According to the picture, LG’s phone adopts a design that is very similar to the OPPO X 2021 scroll screen phone. The screen can be extended and retracted through the two "swipe" of the phone to achieve the effect of switching the screen form.

The whistleblower said that the LG scroll screen phone has a screen size of 6.8 inches in a normal state with a resolution of 1080×2428, and a size of 7.4 inches in an unfolded state with a resolution of 1600×2428.

According to news, the LG scroll screen mobile phone has entered the stage of mass production, and it is likely to officially release this phone at this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2021).

In addition, the LG scroll screen phone exposed this time uses a single-roll design similar to OPPO. Previously, the media had exposed a dual-sided scroll phone code-named "Rainbow".

The entire Rainbow also uses a similar approach to OPPO X 2021, but is equipped with expandable structural components on both sides of the fuselage, which are changed by internal springs and sliding rods.

The difference is that the mechanical components on both sides of the rainbow can be operated separately. The user can freely choose to unfold it on one side or on both sides, and it can have three different sizes. When fully unfolded, it can get nearly twice the display screen.

It is still unclear about the specific plans of these two phones. It is possible that the "Rainbow" phone has been replaced by this OPPO X 2021-like model.
