OPPO joins hands with nendo to exhibit three-folding screen concept phone

At the 2020 OPPO Future Technology Conference, OPPO exhibited the OPPO X 2021 scroll screen concept machine, which supports free expansion and contraction, and is a brand new mobile phone form. Recently, at the 4th China International Industrial Design Expo, OPPO joined hands with the design team nendo led by the famous Japanese designer Sato to bring the “slide-phone” conceptual design plan, which supports the three-fold design, which is also a new kind of Mobile phone form.

OPPO’s “slide-phone” concept mobile phone design adopts a three-segment hinge design, which can be folded three times. Users can easily push the folding part with their thumbs and change the product form according to daily needs. This concept phone can only slide to reveal a part of the screen to display key information such as clock and information, or it can only expand a part for selfie.

This concept phone can reach a 7-inch long strip display screen in a fully unfolded state, with a wider field of vision, and a better experience in application scenarios such as playing games and multitasking.

When fully folded, the OPPO “slide-phone” concept phone has a very small body, only the size of a credit card.

OPPO “slide-phone” concept phone will also have a built-in stylus, which can improve productivity through handwriting.

Although what is shown above is only a conceptual design scheme without a prototype, we can see the strength of OPPO in industrial design. The conceptual design presented by OPPO embodies OPPO’s human-oriented design philosophy, and achieves a good balance between people and products. Users are more comfortable and friendly when using the product, combining advanced technology with design aesthetics, and presenting users with a better product experience.

The new OPPO Find X3 is expected to be released early next year. As a blockbuster flagship mobile phone, I believe that OPPO Find X3 can present OPPO’s latest achievements in industrial design, bringing more unexpected surprises to users.
