OPPO new patent: 15x zoom and circular pop-up camera

News from IT House, November 16 According to foreign media LetsGoDigital reported today, a new patent indicates that OPPO is studying the possibility of integrating a 15x hybrid zoom lens in a thinner model.

OPPO Mobile Communications applied for this patent to WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) in April this year, and it was announced on November 12, 2020.

The design has a special pop-up camera. Although the benefits of this design are not clear, at least this is a bold style innovation.

OPPO uses a semi-circular turntable pop-up front camera, when the user needs it, it will automatically pop out of the case.

In order to facilitate the user's understanding, the foreign media produced the following renderings. The foreign media expects that the machine will become the new flagship of the Reno series, which may replace the current 10x zoom version, so some design elements of the Reno series are adopted.

The back of the machine uses a vertical three-camera, and the patent mentions a telephoto lens, a wide-angle lens and an ultra-wide-angle lens. Then, the patent further introduces the optical zoom of the machine, which mentions the 15x hybrid zoom function. IT Home has learned that currently, no smart phone supports 15x hybrid zoom.

In other respects, the casing of the machine can be made of metal, ceramic or glass.

It is worth mentioning that OPPO will hold the OPPO Future Technology Conference 2020 (OPPO INNO DAY 2020) on November 17-18. Two concept models will be displayed at that time. It has been determined that one of them is similar to TCL's previous show cloud Another type of mobile phone with a scrolling screen is unknown.
