Recently, the foreign technology media LetGoDigital exposed an OPPO patented design. The patent picture shows that the machine will adopt a super curved waterfall screen design, and the body screen ratio of 21:9 makes the whole machine look very slender. The borders on the left and right sides of the fuselage will also be covered by the screen. In addition, there is no camera opening on the front of the screen. I believe that it will adopt an under-screen camera design.
At the bottom of the phone, there are still conventional USB-C charging ports, SIM card slots and speakers.
OPPO showed a total of four variants in the patent document, and the four models are roughly similar in appearance, with only a slight difference in the screen frame.
In fact, as early as last year, OPPO once demonstrated a "waterfall screen" concept model. The ultra-high screen-to-body ratio matches the design of the under-screen camera, and the screen curvature has reached 88°. The front visual effect is very eye-catching. And the design of this machine has many similarities with the patented design exposed this time. I believe this new machine may be upgraded from this concept model.
Although this exposure is only a patented solution, according to OPPO's consistently strong product design capabilities, I believe that in the near future, OPPO will be able to achieve mass production of such mobile phones equipped with ultra-curved display and under-screen camera technology.
