Recently, IDC, a data research organization, released a report on Thailand’s smartphone shipments in the second quarter. According to data, Thailand’s Q2 smartphone shipments totaled 4.3 million units, an increase of 21.2% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 8.8%.
In addition to Samsung's significant decline (-46.7%), shipments of multiple brands have shown growth, of which vivo topped the list with a shipment of 853,000. However, the gap between the top three shipments is not too obvious.
With the advent of the 5G era and smartphones carrying more essential functions for daily life, global smartphone shipments are gradually picking up. The Southeast Asian mobile phone market has always been the focus of domestic mobile phone brands, and it is expected to achieve relatively ideal sales.
