The first 5nm A78 flagship processor! Vivo debuts Exynos 1080

Today Samsung announced its new flagship processor Exynos 1080.

This processor will debut in the second half of this year. It adopts a 5nm process and debuts the Cortex A78 architecture. The Antutu score exceeds 650,000 points, not losing to Qualcomm Snapdragon 865.

What everyone cares most about is the first brand of this processor. The blogger @数码闲聊站 broke the news that vivo will be the first to release Exynos 1080. The new product is expected to be officially released in Q4 this year.

In Q4 of 2019, vivo took the lead to launch the Exynos 980 processor, which is the world's first mass-produced Cortex A77 CPU.

After nearly a year, Exynos 1080 has once again won the right to launch Cortex A78. Compared with Cortex A77, the performance has been improved by 20%, and the power consumption has been reduced by 50% compared with the previous generation.

Not only that, the Cortex A78 area has been reduced by 5%, saving about 15% of the area for the quad-core cluster, which will free up more space for additional GPUs, NPUs and other components.

More importantly, AnTuTu's running score exceeded 650,000 points . After optimization and tuning, the score is expected to be further improved, which is worth looking forward to.
