Up to 7GB can be "boosted", OPPO Find X2 uses memory expansion technology

According to a report by foreign media GSMArena, OPPO recently pushed the June 2021 patch and system update for Find X2 users in India, the version number is CPH2023_11.C.68.

In this version, memory expansion technology has been added. Users can turn on this function in “Settings-About Phone-RAM”. The system currently provides 3GB, 5GB and 7GB sizes to choose from.

After the setting is completed, the memory item of the “About Phone” interface will be displayed as native memory + extended memory (for example, 12GB+3GB in the figure), and the two will not be merged.

As a not new technology, memory expansion has been taken out by many companies alone in the past two years. Similar to the virtual memory on the computer side, it can sacrifice a portion of the storage space to allow the mobile phone to provide a better experience when running high-load applications and multiple software.

As for the OPPO Find X2 this time, it was released in 2020 and has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 mobile platform and a QHD+ 120Hz high refresh screen. Even from today’s point of view, I think it is still not outdated, but it is not clear when domestic users will be able to use this feature.
