Well-known analyst: iPhone 12 battery specifications downgrade, prices will not rise

Recently, well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo released the latest report. The report shows that in order to keep the iPhone 12 in a reasonable price range, Apple will downgrade some parts of the iPhone 12.

According to Guo Mingchi, Apple will not increase the price of the iPhone 12 (which may be similar to the iPhone 11). Apple’s intention is very obvious, that is, to reduce the cost of some high components without harming the interests of users. These devices include batteries that everyone cares about.

The report pointed out that the iPhone 12 battery will be downgraded, and Apple will reduce the maturity and area of the battery soft and hard board, which makes the iPhone 12 battery cost drop a lot.

It is worth mentioning that AirPods is also mentioned in the report. Guo Mingchi said that the new AirPods 3 abandon the original soft and hard board/SMT design and use SiP instead. The purpose of this is to reduce costs.
